Texas Tribune: public face of liberal echo chamber

By Daniel Greer | 3 years ago

On Monday, Mother Jones, a liberal smear outfit, launched an attack on Governor Rick Perry over his day of prayer and fasting. While 99% of Texans haven’t heard of the liberal website, it’s a farm team for the far left media world, including The Texas Tribune.

By way of introduction and orientation, Mother Jones previously employed high profile liberal movie maker Michael Moore as an editor, receives funding from progressive mega-donors like George Soros, and worked tirelessly, though unsuccessfully, for two years to discredit the Tea Party. Mother Jones, a “news source”, leads with titles like “Will the Obama Administration Appeal This F@#&ing Case?” and “Bush’s Strategy for Fixing This Shit.”

Twenty four hours after Mother Jones launched its article, the Texas Tribune penned a rewrite. The Tribune did not directly link to the Mother Jones story in its article, opting instead to place the article in its ‘Trib Wire’ section. Though the Tribune did not link directly to Mother Jones it did source RightWingWatch.org, a far left outfit also with Soros ties. Information from RightWingWatch.org was used in the original Mother Jones piece.

Now the Tribune is aggressively pushing its laundered rewrite and Texas’ major daily newspapers are picking up the content.

The message roll out highlights one of the reasons that the Tribune exists. Apart from bringing its rarified liberal slant to Texas politics, the Tribune works to embezzle stories into the mainstream from the liberal nether regions.

The Tribune, Mother Jones and RightWingWatch.org are all pushing the same narrative. They also share a common donor, George Soros. The only thing currently setting the Tribune apart is they’re still trying to keep up appearances, while their brethren are more honest.
